Great interview. Your mom is amazing. To really appreciate this accomplishment, you have to know how much she does not really enjoy running. Motivating yourself to get back to something you once loved is one thing, but tackling something that you dislike takes guts.... she manages a busy medical lab, functions on too little sleep, works as an interior design seamstress, does custom sewing for anyone regardless of whether she really has the time to do it, makes it to school and sports events for 5 active boys, keeps up a house that often looks like Grand Central Station and all the while is a wonderful wife and mom.... truly inspiring to me.

That's so inspiring! So many people use age or time spent away from running as an excuse not to get back into it. My mom just turned 50 and she keeps using the excuse that she had cancer as a reason not to run. She's been in remission for 5 years! I don't see Lance Armstrong making excuses. So really congratulate your mom for having the courage and tenacity to stick with it. :)

Thanks for the mention! I sometimes have trouble following my own advice about what to do while driving, but now that I've written it down I somehow feel more compelled to get it right.

My true goal is to find a way to drive less, but I live so far from anywhere interesting that I won't be making that change any time soon.

Gip

I love this! I know people define minimalism in many ways, but for me, the idea of less less less misses the point. The point for me is beauty--which does thrive on simplicity, but also includes a lot of keyboard instruments and a passion for beautiful perfume.

Can I call it exquisitism instead?

You should really add one more site and make it 15 Web sites to make you smarter

The Christian Classics Ethereal Library is a digital library of hundreds of classic Christian books selected for edification and education. The online www.ccel.org server reaches several million different users each year.

CCEL texts are stored in our own Theological Markup Language, which is an XML application.
