simple saturday links 2/13/10
The big news this week is the release of Google Buzz. I’ve jumped right in and started exploring this new service and will write my thoughts later this week. So far, it seems like a really powerful new tool with a multitude of pros and cons. The two links I’m sharing this week both deal with Buzz and each author has a unique point of view to share.
In other news, I included a new page to this blog. If you look to the top right of your screen, you will see a “resources” link. I will be posting links to various ebooks, books, and other products I have used and find valuable. Most of them will be affiliate links, meaning I will receive a portion of the cost of whatever you buy. I don’t expect to make much, if any, money from this. I just want to provide access to resources that I have found valuable in my own life.
As always, please feel free to follow me on Twitter. If you like the content here, consider subscribing via RSS or email and have new content delivered to you immediately upon it being published.
clutter cubed: will google buzz help declutter social media?- Caitlin brings up some interesting thoughts about Google Buzz, particularly whether this will become a replacement for other social networks or just another “inbox” to check. I could see this potentially replacing Twitter for me, but I’m not 100% sure yet.
far beyond the stars: minimalist google buzz, how to simplify your social networking- Everett has taken some time to figure out some minimalist ideas as applied to Google Buzz. In the short time I have used it I have quickly realized that if I’m not careful, Buzz has the potential to be an incredible time sink.
