10 mph: segway road trip across america

One of the benefits of simplifying your life is opening up time to focus on your dreams and goals. When you are able to eliminate those commitments, responsibilities and anything else that creates “psychic drag” in your life, the attention that you have to apply to your passions grows exponentially. The documentary 10 MPH is a good example of what simplification can do for you. Josh Caldwell and Hunter Weeks decided to quit their soul-sucking cubicle jobs to ride a Segway across American while making a documentary about their adventure.
It is truly inspiring to see the kinds of gains that can be made when people decide to eschew the comfortable or safe route and decide to actually follow their dreams. Simplifying your life is not always the easiest thing to do. It can demand sacrifices in income and material goods– sacrifices that some people are afraid to make. However, in the long run, removing the obstacles that keep you from living the life you were meant to live, like a soul-sucking cubicle job, is the key to doing something amazing. That’s really what simplifying is all about– freeing up the most precious resource you have, your attention, to do what you really want.
Not only is this documentary entirely entertaining and inspirational to watch, but you can do so completely free on Youtube. Kick back this weekend and enjoy a very entertaining film for free. No need to spend any money or buy another DVD to clutter up your living room, just head over to Youtube!
What would you do if you quit your job today and could do whatever you want? What would your documentary be about?
